 Les Ammons - Player Inducted in 1990 Lester "Les" Ammons played for the Sharptown Eagles from 1949-55 winning the Central Shore League pennant in 1949. He was also a player for the Hebron "AC" team from 1956 helping them win the Central Shore League pennant in 1956. During that year he batted .332 for the team. After winning the pennant, Les was the manager for the team the following two years. Les played softball around the shore for many years and also served on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Shore Baseball Foundation for two years. |
