Francis "Teak" Gottorf (Player) - He was a good fielding first baseman who played baseball for 11 years on the eastern shore. Teak played with the Smyrna-Clayton baseball team in the Mar-Del Baseball League. During that time he batted over .350 and won a league championship.
He also played for the Frederica Baseball team in the Mar-Del Baseball League and won a batting title with a .475 batting average.
From 1945 to 1953, Teak played for the Sudlersville baseball team and the Kenton baseball team in the Bi-State Baseball League. He played many positions on the baseball field. He had good base running skills and fielding skills.
