George Stewart - Player/Coach Inducted in 2009 George Stewart (Player/Coach) - He was the baseball coach for the Washington High School Baseball team for 22 years from 1974 to 1996. George's record during that time was 237 wins and 162 losses accomplishing 18 winning seasons. Also during his coaching career, his baseball team made the State Baseball Finals in 1975 and 1982, the State Baseball Semi-Finals in 1980 and 1983. George's team won the State Championship in 1982 and the Bayside Conference Baseball Championship in 1989. He also played baseball for the Oaksville Baseball Club briefly during those years. |
