Jerry McCready - Umpire Inducted in 2012 Jerry W. McCready (Umpire) - He played baseball for the Crisfield High School Baseball team from 1945 to 1948. Jerry also played in the Marva Baseball League in 1949. In 1950, Jerry attended the George Barr Umpiring School and used these skills to umpire games in the US Army in 1952. In 1953, he began umpiring in the Central Shore League and the Little League. From 1954 to 1972, Jerry umpired High School Baseball games. Jerry was a member of the Crisfield Chamber of Commerce for 14 years and served on McCready Hospital Board of Directors for 13 years. |
