Scott Jacob - Player

A native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Scott graduated from Arcadia High School in Accomack County. Following high school, Scott played his first 3 years of college baseball at Division II Catawba in North Carolina. For his senior year, he transferred to Salisbury University.
Scott began playing in the Eastern Shore Baseball League in 1991 at age 16 for the Virginia Shores and played with them through the 2003 season. While his playing stats with the Shores aren't available, Scott reportedly pitched a no-hitter in his first season, as a 16 year-old. In 1998, Scott took a break from the ESBL as he played one season professionally for the Somerset Patriots in the Independent Atlantic League. After the 2003 ESBL season, Scott left the Virginia Shores and joined the Perdue Chicks, where he played the final 13 years of his career. He played a total of 378 games for the Chicks, where he collected 331 hits, 82 doubles, 18 home runs, 242 RBI's, and had a .265 batting average. Scott played a total of 25 years in the Eastern Shore Baseball League.
