Zack Gelof - Player

A native of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Zack is currently a major league second baseman for the Oakland Athletics. He played baseball at Cape Henlopen High School where he finished his high school career as Delaware's all-time leader in runs scored and stolen bases and second in career hits. He was a two-time Henlopen Conference Player of the Year as a shortstop and a pitcher. He was selected in the 38th round of the 2018 Major League baseball draft, but he opted to play collegiately at the University of Virginia. Zack started every game in his 3-year career at Virginia, batting .316/.396/.478 in 137 games while accumulating numerous awards along the way. He was then drafted in the second round of the 2021 Major League draft by Oakland. Zack made his major league debut on July 14, 2023 and played in 69 games while batting .267 with 14 home runs and 32 RBI's.
