Ralph Brown - Booster

Ralph "Brownie" Brown (Booster) - Excelled in Baseball, Football and Softball. Brownie's first love was football, which he played around the shore for many years.
He was a catcher 2 years for the Salisbury "AA" team in 1946-1947. He was an umpire for 2 years in 1948-1949.
He started his softball career in the 1950's when well into the 60's with the "over-the hill" League.
In 1983 he was very instrumental in starting the present Eastern Shore League. He served as the first League President, as well as it's chief architect in obtaining their first location for the League at the Athletic Complex here in Salisbury, MD.
Brownie served on the Eastern Shore Baseball Hall of Fame Board of Directors for 10 years and was associated with baseball on the Eastern Shore all of his life.
