Teddy Evans - Player

Franklin "Teddy" Roosevelt Evans (Player) - He was a natural born athlete at Washington High School. Teddy lettered in Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer.
Teddy played and managed in the Central Shore League from 1948 to 1959. He played for the Pocomoke baseball team, Princess Anne baseball team, Frederica Delaware baseball team, Delmar baseball team, Hebron baseball team, and the Mardela baseball team. He also managed the Hebron Baseball team in 1959,
While playing for the Hebron baseball team in 1956, Teddy won the Central Shore League Batting Title with a .365 batting average.
After retiring from baseball, Teddy played softball as a shortstop until he age was 60 of age. He is also a better than average golfer and plays in the Senior League.
Teddy loves the game of baseball and is on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Shore Hall of Fame. Feel free to stop by when it is open during the Delmarva Shorebird games. If Teddy is here, he is always ready and willing to give you a tour and tell you the history of Eastern Shore Baseball!
